We were all disappointed when our bid to the Big Lottery Fund was not successful. Still, if at first you don’t succeed, have a large (pink) gin and tonic. Then try again.
The FFLAG Board and myself have been working on a strategic re-think, to get a securely funded future for ourselves and all our affiliate groups and helplines. We have been offered some fantastic professional help with this work. |

10 years of support in Birmingham |
On July 4th we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Birmingham Parents, the FFLAG group in the Midlands. It was good that the founding members, Sheila from Lichfield, Maureen, Robert and Irene were all there.
Also present for a great reunion were parents who had moved away, or had moved on in their lives, such as Ann from Nantwich who we had not seen for a while, but who came down especially for the occasion. |

An evening with Julian Clary |
Julian Clary visited Cornwall in May, and starred in his own show ‘An Evening with ..…Julian Clary’ at The Hall for Cornwall in Truro. He kindly gave his permission for FFLAG to have a display stand for the evening.
He played to a full house and shared an evening of wit, humour and moving insights with a hugely appreciative audience. |
