Northants Parents Group created |

I would have liked an opportunity to get to know other people with an LGB family member or friend in their lives and looked for a local support group. Unfortunately there was not a group available in Northamptonshire so I decided to try and become a volunteer and set up a LGB parents support group. |

Despite the efforts of the Trustees, volunteers and staff FFLAG has not been successful in securing any funding beyond the end of 2007. This means that the only national organisation supporting families and friends of lesbian, gay and bisexual people faces an uncertain future. |

Parent Pride on the Isle of Wight |

We are Lorraine and Teresa and together we have formed a support group for the parents of LGB children called “Parent Pride”.
Teresa and myself met through our children as they both go to a new group for LGB youth here on the Isle of Wight called ‘Youth Pride.’ As the parents of a 14-year old gay son, and 16-year old lesbian daughter, we, and our partners, have discovered the value of just having someone else to talk to and we want to offer this to others in our position. |
