Following a review of the organisation it has been agreed to introduce a new membership system for FFLAG.

In line with many other charitable organisations and voluntary groups we are phasing out the subscription to FFLAG News and replacing this with a new Friend of FFLAG membership.

Friends of FFLAG will continue to receive FFLAG News on a quarterly basis. In addition they will receive an exclusive, bi-annual, members only newsletter (March and September).

This newsletter will keep members in touch with the projects that FFLAG is involved in and contain details of our current work and future plans. Friends of FFLAG will also receive a FFLAG pin badge.

The price of a FFLAG News subscription has remained the same since 2001. In view of this the cost of the new Friend of FFLAG membership will be £20 per year for individuals (£10 for students) with a new couples membership at £30 (this will of course be available to ALL types of couples!!).

An organisation membership will be £40 and for this you will receive 3 copies of each publication. The increased fees will enable Friends of FFLAG to support our work as we are currently relying on private donations to fund our day to day costs.

It is possible to become a Friend of FFLAG immediately by completing the form on the back page of this newsletter. Alternatively when your existing subscription to FFLAG News expires you will be sent a Friend of FFLAG membership form.

We wish to encourage as many people, couples and organisations as possible to become Friends of FFLAG so if you are aware of family members, friends, colleagues, statutory organisations, agencies or voluntary groups who would like to join please ask them to contact us.

Without your continued support FFLAG will not be able to carry on and increase the vital and unique work of supporting families of LGB people.

So far this year we have received over 100 enquiries every month. Each of these represents a family needing support, reassurance or information. Please become a Friend of FFLAG to ensure our future.
